MUMC is searching for an Experienced MRI Tech that will be responsible for performing MRI procedures according to departmental protocols, under the supervision and instruction of the MRI Team Leader and other MRI specialists. [Bachelors degree preferred] ARRT (R) mandatory, with successfully passing within 6 months of hire; ARRT (MR), mandatory within 2 years of hire; CPR mandatory within 3 months of hire. The major responsibilities of this position are as follows:

1. Lead the development, evaluation, and revision of the curriculum and program policies.
2. Perform necessary functions to obtain and maintain program accreditation through JRCERT.
3. Identify qualified personnel for clinical and didactic instruction, supervise performance, and assist in professional development.
4. Secure and manage resources needed to support the program.
5. Identify and acquire clinical affiliates necessary to support program clinical competencies.
6. Facilitate quality communication among the School, clinical affiliates, professional organizations, and the community.
7. Serve as the primary instructor for select professional courses.
8. Chair the Radiology Admissions and Advisory Committees and serve on other School committees as appropriate.
9. Assist in student recruitment and academic advising/mentoring.
10. Participate in professional and scholarly activities.

Performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations and assists with minor surgical procedures (cyst aspirations and biopsies) for subsequent evaluations and treatment by attending physicians. Ensures that ultrasound test is of acceptable quality and that equipment is functioning properly.

• Board certification as a registered Ultrasonographer usually acquired through completion of a 2 year recognized AMA or AMA equivalent allied health program that is patient care related.
• Knowledge of general policies and procedures and proficiency in performing ultrasound studies normally acquired during six to twelve months extensive experience.
• Analytical ability necessary in order to resolve technical problems.
• Interpersonal skills required in order to explain policies and technical procedures to patients.
• Ability to lift and assist patients as needed onto examination table.
• Ability to stand 70% of the time in the performance of the examinations.
• Ability to continuously apply visual and mental alertness while performing examinations.
• Certified in Basic Life Support Techniques (CPR)

Pima Medical Institute is searching for a Program Director. Responsiblities include development of an approved curriculum, supervising and monitoring the instruction techniques of the radiography staff, establish and implement department goals including maintenance of student retention.

Minimum Requirements: The succesful candidate must have a Masters degree; Credentialed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT); Five years of experience as a registered radiologic technologist; Two years of documented experience as an instructor in JRCERT accredited radipgraphy program; licensed by the state of Arizona Medical Radiologic Technology. Familiarity with the accreditation process preferred.
