Responsibilities: - Manages imaging services in accordance with current clinic and governmental standards, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies, e.g. MQSA, State of California Radiologic Health Services inspections. - Keeps equipment lists, service contracts and monitors equipment functioning. Assures preventive maintenance scheduled for all equipment. Negotiates vendor contracts as needed for repairs and purchases. -Responsible and accountable for preparing the departmental capital and operating budgets. - Collects data, prepares reports, answers correspondence, and compiles statistics for administration, business strategies and regulatory purposes. Ensures monthly operational reports are completed and submitted in a timely manner. - Monitors workflow to ensure maximum efficiency, coordinates time off and ensures qualified coverage. Ensures staffing is within department budget. Evaluates department staffing and recommends options for improving staffing budget, and proposing new positions within department as need arises. - Hire and assure proper training and orientation of departmental personnel. Responsible for staff performance evaluations. Maintains employee attendance records. Reviews employee personnel files to ensure qualifications compliance. Performs disciplinary actions and terminations in conjunction with HR department. - Oversees Quality Control program, ensuring radiation safety for employees and patients, and compliance with imaging protocols. - Interact with staff daily, ensuring open communication, and collaborative work environment within team and other departments.
