Job Duties
1. Maintains high level of customer service to all internal and external customers. Oversees patient "service recovery" and PACT program for clinic; and, evaluates business operations for optimal success.
2. Supervises all levels of Clinic Staff Assistants (CSA staff) and Clinic Staff Coordinator(s), ensuring appropriate guidelines are followed. Ensures that CSA staff adhere to university dress code. Works with Recruitment and Administration regarding CSA staff recruitment issues; makes recommendations regarding hiring and disciplinary actions for staff.
3. Works with Administration regarding training and supervision of CSA staff, giving appropriate, timely feedback on problems or issues. Conducts interim performance evaluations for CSA float staff.
4. Ensures that CSA staff receives complete orientation to work area with regular feedback sessions during first three months of employment in clinic. Oversees CSA staff development, such as continuing education, cross-training, and preceptorship opportunities. Addresses employee satisfaction data as appropriate.
5. Monitors work flow and ensures adherence to policies and procedures; recommends and/or implements changes as necessary to maintain efficient clinic. Coordinates CSA staff schedules to ensure support of clinic operations.
6. Manages vacation, sick leave, and time clock for CSA staff. Oversees internal and external referral system. Oversees external vendor utilization (i.e. ClientTell and transcription services).
7. Ensures integrity and availability of patient information; maintains patient confidentiality in accordance with university and department policy. Functions as liaison with other departments, offices, and divisions regarding clerical clinic functions as needed.
8. Functions as interim Clinic Manager as necessary. Performs Clinic Staff Coordinator duties as necessary. Attends meetings and training; acts as liaison and participates in committees and work groups to assist Administration with quality and work performance issues.
9. Participates in HIPAA, internal control, and phone audits. Oversees performance improvement projects.
10. Processes Press Ganey data for dissemination to providers. Prepares monthly quality assurance documents as required; works Administration regarding outcome of reports. Analyzes and interprets data from audit reports.
11. Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience & Education Required
1. High school graduation or GED and five (5) years experience in patient
care/patient business environment, preferably in a leadership role. Or an accredited. Bachelor's degree in related field and a minumum of one (1) year experience in patient care/patient business work environment
2. Have previous work experience and knowledege in the areas of insurance processing, managed care and general patient business operations.
3. Has a track record for evaluating patient business operations, implementing improvement processes and able to measure and report levels of improvement.

Assists in the projection of future needs, taking into consideration productivity, utilization, operating costs, and budgetary data as requested.10. Assures compliance with organizational policies to include monitoring outside radiology referrals.11. Plans and conducts orientation programs for all new department staff to facilitate their assimilation and skill development, coordinates, and provides ongoing training and in-service education for medical facilities utilizing the full service Radiology Department.12. Coordinates appointment scheduling with Radiologists to assure adequate appointment availability and assimilate to all tests when accessibility falls below standards, and initiates appropriate stops toward resolution.13. Maintains historical and demographic statistics for use in analyzing of services and developing long range plans for radiology services.14. Orders supplies, ensuring adequate levels are maintained in the facility. Contacts appropriate technical representatives to arrange for necessary equipment maintenance and repair, and new purchases.15.
