The incumbent performs radionuclide studies to diagnose/treat various functional disorders that require specialized knowledge and skill. Works independently, in performing routine and non-routine and research imaging procedures. Performs a wide range of imaging studies, including planar, Spect, Spect/CT, and PET/CT studies, including image merge/fusion. The technologist performs radiation safety duties associated with radio pharmacy/hot lab. As part of radiation safety precautions after the administration of therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals.

We are currently seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team! POSITION SUMMARY: Our employees work autonomously in two-person teams that deliver imaging solutions directly to physicians offices. The qualified candidate will be responsible for all technical and patient care functions related to SPECT rest/stress studies in the mobile lab environment. Assure all documentation is complete for studies performed.  Specifically, will perform daily QC checks and calibrations on equipment and completes required NRC/state documentation; responsible for driving the van and moving the equipment between testing locations; plan the daily schedule with other team members to ensure timeliness of services; assure all necessary equipment and supplies are available for testing functions; order radiopharmaceuticals from appropriate pharmacy, assumes proper doses, documents used products and unused products; perform functional and/or perfusion rest and stress cardiac studies; process images from studies for physician interpretation; responsible for communicating to physicians offices regarding testing and scheduling; coordinate emergency procedures in the event of a radioactive spill; assure appropriate documentation and disposal of medical waste; responsible for managing the petty cash fund and company credit cards; conduct radiation in servicing for all new employees, physicians and their office staff.Experience and Skills:REQUIREMENTS:  Must possess a current Nuclear Medicine Technologist license (NMTCB or ARRT(N)) and in some states, a state license is required. Requires two to five years experience with an emphasis in nuclear cardiology. Current CPR (American Heart Association) is required; or will need to be obtained within the first 30 days of employment. Non-commercial Drivers License is required; license must not be suspended, restricted or revoked. Ability to lift up to 60lbs and assist with pushing and pulling medical equipment up to 800lbs.
