Job Title: Lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist Company: Location: Fort Myers, FL Description: The employee functions as a lead Technologist responsible for performing Nuclear Medicine exams at the Ft. Myers Outpatient Clinic. Duties also include all administrative functions associated with the operation of the nuclear medicine department at this location. The Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) is off-site and therefore, this position performs all day-to-day RSO functions, with final oversight and guidance from the Bay Pines RSO. The technologist utilizes equipment and technique to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Performs diagnostic nuclear imaging and other related imaging and related procedures to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation by, or at the request of a licensed practitioner. Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics. Applies appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure. The Nuclear Medicine technologist will maintain all necessary documentation and records as required by the State of Florida HRS as it relates to the Radioactive Materials license of this facility. This individual is also responsible for appropriate radiation safety practices.   Requirements Graduate of an accredited School of Nuclear Medicine. ARRT Nuclear Medicine registered and in good standing or CNMT, BLS, State of Florida HRS license. Minimum one year acute care experience. Ability to deal efficiently, ethically and courteously with all hospital personnel. Effective communication skills both verbal and written. Good organizational skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
