TUHS will only consider applicants who possess or are about to acquire these credentials. RT(N) Reg Technologist (N) Position Description Nuclear Medicine Technologist-Performs and assists with various types of Nuclear medicine procedures, following protocols established by the radiologists.  Prepares, maintains and operates Nuclear Medicine equipment utilizing radionuclides in a safe and responsible manner, following appropriate radiation safety guidelines.  Performs and documents all records necessary for NRC and state regulations. Basic Qualifications: Experience: Graduate of AMA approved school for nuclear medicine technology. Education and Training: High school graduate.  Graduate from a two year AMA approved Nuclear Medicine program. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board). CPR certification is required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Ability to perform quality Nuclear Medicine exams according to departmental protocol on all ages of patients. Must be able to communicate effectively utilizing oral and written instructions. Machinery, Tools and Equipment Used: All Nuclear Medicine equipment.  Kodak and film processing equipment, Sterling laser camera, SMS, Radiology Information System, Pinestar System.
