Prepares room and equipment according to patient prescription regarding treatment devices, beam modifiers and mechanical alignments. Correctly performs and documents daily check procedures on all equipment during morning warm up.

Delivers radiation treatments in a timely manner as described in treatment plan, assuring accuracy. Properly performs high quality port films with little or no repeats.

Maintains current knowledge of simulation and therapy techniques and assists as needed. Correctly performs routine dosimetry calculations. Proficient in block cutting and fabrication of cerrobend blocks. Assures accuracy, proficiency and timeliness in completion of custom treatment devices prior to start of patient's treatment.

Coordinates patient simulation and treatment schedules. Accurately orders and charges daily procedures within appropriate timeframes to avoid charge errors.

HS Diploma or GED required as well as must have satisfactory completion of formal training in Radiation Therapy technology in an AMA approved school and on the job training.
