  • Ensures an adequate stock of supplies and proper functioning of equipment. Participates in the completion of the Daily Checklist, as well as any assigned duties and tasks necessary to maintain compliance with Federal and State regulations.
  • Cleans and prepare rooms between patients and at the end of shift to assure preparedness for receipt of patients.
  • Be available and participate in on-call assignments.
  • Participates in education programs and attends meetings as required.
  • Participates in the orientation and/or training of newly hired personnel.
  • Responsible for initiating standing orders
  • Participates in prescription dispensing program per policy
  • Follows guidelines and requirements of laboratory and clinical accreditation policies
  • Complete all x-ray procedures and documentation ordered by staff physician under current professional standards of practice and within company policy
  • Inventory and order all supplies for radiology department
  • Perform all routine and preventative maintenance on x-ray and processing equipment
  • Complete quality assurance and quality control studies and procedures within current policy
  • Maintain logbooks within current policy
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled cleaning of equipment and department
  • Complete all required documentation on all x-ray procedures
  • Complete UC patient referrals (i.e. call physician’s office, arrange appointments and notify patient) Goldsboro clinic will also complete their own WC referrals, others will utilize the referral specialist in their areas.
  • Collect and process urine samples for drug screens
  • Assist Patient Service Specialist by answering incoming telephone calls and checking patients in and out
  • Assist with routine housekeeping tasks in the clinic such as trash removal, disinfecting and cleaning of common areas, etc.
  • Responsible for making patient call-backs within current policy
  • Assist lab personnel by performing basic lab procedures (HCG test kits, strep A test kits, mono test kits, chlamydia tests, and CBC’s and UA dipsticks)
  • Treats patients and co-workers consistent with the NextCare Mission Statement and Values
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education:

  1. High School diploma or equivalent Associates of Science Degree in Radiological Technology and is at least board eligible for ARRT certification. Must achieve certification within six months of employment.
  2. Or completed an approved course of study in Radiological Technology from an accredited school of Health Sciences of the Armed Forces. Must challenge and obtain certification within one year of employment.
  3. Or completed a two year hospital based ARRT approved program and is at least board eligible for ARRT certification. Must achieve this certification within one year of employment.
Required Certification/Registration: Current healthcare professional level CPR certification issued by American Heart Association, American Red Cross, American Safety Health Institute or National Safety Council.

Preferred Experience: Minimum of six months to one-year experience in an emergency department or urgent care.
