The Role

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Radiologic Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial role supporting the radiology department, managing patient records, to include loading, organizing, processing, and distributing radiology materials to the Radiologists and Consultants. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with other departments in a deadline-driven environment, responding to radiology inquiries and ensuring radiology related materials are prepared and processed prior to event deadlines.

Essential Functions:

Accurately load and organize imaging studies in preparation for radiology work up and in advance of event deadlines.

Accurately prepare, organize, and distribute radiology consultation packets to the radiologist in preparation for scheduled events.

Accurately perform quality review of all imaging studies to identify incomplete studies, corrupt non-viewable studies, and non-DICOM formats.

Notify assigned Nurse and Paralegal of imaging studies that do not meet industry standards.

Log in, file, store, archive, and coordinate duplication, as required, of all imaging studies.

Monitor all Consultants’ schedules for radiology deadlines and radiology consultations.

Retrieve and post key films/digital films relative to a given case at the consultant’s request for their review.

Maintain Digital Radiology database.

Coordinate the return of imaging studies to clients as necessary.

Complete special projects as they relate to the radiology department.

Prepare and submit all reports and documentation related to job function (timesheets, documentation records, spreadsheets, etc.) in a timely manner.

Assist with training new staff as needed.

Complete all necessary and mandatory compliance training in a timely manner.

Communicate with internal and external clients in a timely, professional, and courteous manner.

Required Education and Experience:

Requires Bachelors’ Degree or Associates of Science or equivalent.

At least five years of experience working in a medical or radiology environment.

Must have knowledge of various types of radiology imaging studies, including but not limited to, X- Ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy, etc., radiology anatomy, medical and anatomical terminology.

 

Certifications/Licenses:

Current ARRT Certification

Current State Radiologic Technologist License (where applicable)
