Job Summary:

Under the supervision of a radiologist and the direction of the administrator, this position competently performs imaging on all general radiographic equipment and one additional modality. Responsible for radiographic and imaging protocols. Must have the ability to recognize imaging anatomy. Responsible for providing customer service excellence and complying with hospital and department policies and procedures. Uses RIS for proper recording of patient procedures and dissemination of patient results.

Responsibilities:

• Performs all routine radiographic examinations competently.  Performs at least one additional modality competently:  Nuclear Medicine; Mammography; CT scan; Quality Assurance; Bone Density; MRI.  
• Must have good organizational skills and prioritizing skills.
• Must be able to work alone and as part of a team.
• Must be able to follow directions and operate competently during stressful situations
• Must be able to produce quality work in a reasonable time frame
• Must obtain 24 ECE credits, in a two year period for re-certification; must maintain NH license
• Knowledge and ability to provide care based on physical and psychosocial development and safety issues related to patients of all age groups including infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric
• CPR certified

Required Licensure/Certification Skills:

• QUALIFICATIONS:  Must be currently licensed with the NH Board of Medical Imaging as a Radiographer, and, if applicable, in any other modality as required 

• Experience/Specialized Skills:  Certification preferred in additional modalities performed. 
• Required Education/Course(s)/Training:   Graduate of accredited radiography program with a minimum Associates Degree.  
• Preferred Certification/Registration:  A.R.R.T. registered.  Membership in a professional organization is preferred.
