F/T Nuclear Medicine Technologist needed for outpatient imaging center in Liverpool, NY M-F.
Performs all duties associated with Nuclear imaging procedures.
Calculates, orders, administers and records radioactive isotopes.
Instructs and educates patients on proper exam preparation and radiation safety.
Performs all required quality control procedures on equipment (PET/CT scanner, SPECT/CT scanner, well counter and dose calibrator) in accordance with departmental procedures and manufacturer's specifications. Continuously ensure equipment is functioning properly.
Performs and documents radiation monitoring and adheres to ALARA.
Performs required quality assurance according to established department policies.
Maintains compliance with continuing education requirements set forth by the CNMTCB or ARRT and NYS.
Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology completed. Applicants must have a license and certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.--. CPR certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.
