Job Description
As a supervisor in Imaging Services, you assist in overseeing a team dedicated to providing the best possible care for patients. Your ability to orient new staff members, assist with assigning workloads and facilitate communication with with staff at all levels of the organization creates an atmosphere where staff members thrive and patients receive the attention they deserve. We offer advanced imaging, a modern emergency department, a welcoming family birth center, surgical services, intensive care, cancer care, gastroenterology and more.
Responsibilities:The Imaging Services Supervisor is accountable for the direct coordination and supervision of unit operations. Serves as a role model and resource for patient care. Provides leadership and promotes team building among staff. Facilitates communication among staff, physicians, management and all other customers. Responsible for effective implementation of policies, procedures & standards. Supports and models preferred employee and employer profiles. Performs duties in his/her clinical capacity as needed.
Under the direction of the Department Manager, the Imaging Services Supervisor is responsible for coordination and supervision in the areas of:
- Assisting Coordinators with department orientation, and annual mandatory training programs.
- Employee coaching, performance appraisal feedback and disciplinary process.
- Management support tasks.
- Assisting Manager with payroll and budgetary processes.
- Quality planning and monitoring.
- Monitoring modality work schedules and vacation requests.
- Ordering supplies and or equipment as appropriate.
- Assisting Manager with staff in-services and department meetings.
- Coordinating the discovery process of Department Incident Reports.
- Interviewing and providing feedback on applicants for potential hire.
- Monitoring and maintaining staff education records.
Education :
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Experience:
Three years of experience in a radiology modality with at least one year as Lead Technologist or Imaging Coordinator preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
Current state licensure in Radiology or related Imaging modality.
A.R.R.T. in Radiology, and/or national certification in a related Imaging modality is required.
Skills:
Demonstrated positive interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians and the community.
Demonstrated knowledge of operations, including staffing, scheduling, budget management, workflow planning and staff development.
Ability to manage a broad span of control through implementation of a self-directed team approach.
Strong communication and leadership skills with a willingness to lead by example.
Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.

Licensure:Current state licensure in Radiology or related Imaging modality.
A.R.R.T. in Radiology, and/or national certification in a related Imaging modality is required.
