Are you a seasoned expert in the .NET stack who values technical excellence when designing and creating software? If you have at least 3+ years of programming experience in the .NET world, hold yourself to a high standard of technical excellence, and value working for a mission-driven organization, you should consider joining the Enterprise Applications and Software Integrations team at Hillsdale College.
This is an opportunity for a full-time .NET developer to serve in an essential role as a software developer designing & programming APIs and integrations between software applications. You will be involved in developing integrations that support Hillsdale College's operational needs.
We develop on a Microsoft Azure platform, as well as on-prem servers, working with .NET, Angular, React, Redux, SQL Server, and Visual Studio. You must be proficient in C# and have a demonstrated track record of learning and adopting new languages and platforms.
We're looking for someone who can communicate clearly in writing and verbally. To fit in best with our team, we'd prefer someone positive about life, easygoing, eager to dive into projects, who meets deadlines, and who can speak candidly yet respectfully.
You should be able to write secure code that protects against SQL injection, web injection, XSS, cross-site forgery, and related attacks against web applications.
Required Qualifications
Expert knowledge in C#
Proficiency in React
Angular experience is a plus
SQL database design & querying fundamentals
NoSQL, Document, and GraphDB experience
Azure Web Apps
Visual Studio proficiency
Understanding of basic responsive design principles
Experience designing and programming RESTful APIs with Swagger support
Knowledge of clean programming concepts
A basic understanding of XSS, SQL injection, and other vulnerabilities commonly exploited in attacks against websites is a plus
An appreciation for the importance of usability in web apps and mobile websites
WCAG/ADA accessibility standards knowledge is a plus
Ability to mentor other developers
Strong remote communication skills, using Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Email
