1+ years of experience. 50-mile radius rule. No more than a 3-month work history gap in the last year. NM License, ARRT(CT) and BLS-AHA required. IV Certification preferred; must be proficient in starting IVs.Performs computed tomographic procedures including Biopsies as requested by physicians. Works closely with the Radiologist. Has the ability to manipulate exams to meet the needs of the patient and the doctor. Always practices ALARA. Always makes sure to check positive identification before performing all exams; provides care for patients while obtaining diagnostic quality images for interpretation by a Radiologist based on their protocols. Has advanced knowledge of contrast media, how it affects patients and what action to take in the event of a reaction. Checks and double checks all contrast before it is given to the patient and charts contrast usage appropriately in the patients chart. Ability to work fluidly and as a member of a team. Manage patient flow and obtain pertinent patient medical information/data. Perform QA/QC in accordance with ACR guidelines. Ability to start, maintain and remove IVs and power injector. Maintain equipment and exam rooms in optimal condition and reports malfunctions promptly.
