Ultrasounds can be scary procedures for some patients. Your skill and compassion as a sonographer will help to put patients at ease. Your sound judgment will be used to determine imaging technique and patient treatment. Through your expertise, you will help to fulfill Legacys mission of making life better for others.

Legacy Medical Group is made up of more than 50 primary care clinics and specialty practices plus doctors who specifically care for hospitalized patients. We have more than 800 care providers in Legacy Medical Group. The result is that anywhere you get care in the Legacy system, you have access to a range of specialists.

Responsibilities:

The Sonographer Clinics performs ultrasound imaging and biopsy procedures according to physician's orders, utilizing knowledge and judgment in regard to imaging technique and patient treatment.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • Graduate of accredited (by AMA or ARDMS) school of ultrasound or equivalent experience is required.

Skills:

  • Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.
Licensure:
  • Registered Sonographer A.R.D.M.S. in Abdomen, OB/GYN, or RVT, as required by department; or eligible to obtain A.R.D.M.S. certification.
  • If required certification is not received within one year of assuming the non-certified Sonographer job, the position will be vacated by the incumbent.
  • Current state license in Sonography required for all employees who perform this job in the state of Oregon.
  • BLS/CPR Certification: Personnel providing direct care in patient care and diagnostic areas are required to acquire and maintain BLS/CPR certification.
