Job Summary and Qualifications

At HCA West Florida, we are committed to creating a world-class experience for each patient. We are seeking an Ultrasound Technologist. As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will provide ultrasound services to patients as ordered by physicians. You will also follow established standards and practices under the direction of a Radiologist. If you share our passion and vision, we invite you to apply now!

Your tasks and responsibilities include:

• You will perform assigned work in a timely, accurate, cost-efficient manner, and in accordance with all policies and procedures
• You will respond to special needs and requests from department leadership and/or coworkers in a positive and timely manner.
• You will demonstrate effective skills in all forms of communication written, verbal, telephone and body language
• You will assist with department orientation for new hires and students as requested.
• You will demonstrate responsibility and accountability in recognizing and identifying potential and actual patient problems, collecting accurate data and implementing the patient Plan of Care in accordance with the department/unit standards.

Qualifications:

• High school plus some college, business or technical training
• ARMDS Registered (AB or OBGYN) required
• BLS required
• ARDMS (RVT) required (new hires can obtain within 6 months of hire)
• One year of experience preferred
• Computer skills
