In this role you will get too:Must possess knowledge of the overall characteristics and clinical relevance of radiation treatment planning, treatment machines and other planning equipment. Knowledgeable of procedures commonly used in radiation therapy, CT simulation, radiation safety and treatment planning. Has the education and expertise necessary to generate radiation dose distributions and dose calculations in collaboration with a Medical Physicist and Radiation Oncologist. Education Qualifications:
Qualifications for the position included but are not limited to:
Certified Medical Dosimetrist or Board Eligible
American registry of radiologic technologists registered radiation therapy technologist
Bachelors degree required in a dosimetry program, physical or biological sciences or is a registered radiation therapist.
Proven clinical experience
Ability to work independently
Ability to communicate effectively with the cancer center team
Ability to integrate with the medical physics department staff
Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
East Market:
Must be certified as a medical dosimetrist or willing to pursue education.
Valid state credentialing, if applicable.
Current CPR certification.
