Shift: Full Time 36hr get paid for 40hrs. Weekend, ANTS Saturday and Sunday, 6:00am-6:30pm; Monday, 6;30am-7:00pm Rotating call and holidays

Your Mission:
The Radiologic Technologist II Acute works independently and/or assists physicians/APCs in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the x-ray equipment in order to obtain diagnostic images in the acute setting. The technologist is responsible for inpatient & outpatient procedures, the emergency room, fluoroscopy, portables, and the operating rooms.

What Youll Do:
- Performing Imaging Procedures: Operating medical imaging equipment to capture images of patients' bodies.
- Patient Care: Preparing patients for procedures by explaining the process, addressing concerns, taking medical histories, and ensuring patient comfort and safety during the exam.
- Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Adjusting and maintaining imaging equipment to ensure optimal image quality and equipment functionality.
- Image Evaluation: Reviewing images to ensure clarity and accuracy before submitting them to radiologists for interpretation.
- Radiation Safety: Adhering to safety protocols and using protective measures (like lead aprons and shielding) to minimize radiation exposure for themselves and patients.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining detailed patient records, including exam details, images, and any relevant information.
What Were Looking For:
- Education : Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program. Certification required within 6 months of hire post-graduation from an accredited Radiology Program, required. 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred.
- Experience : Minimum of one year experience in diagnostic radiology, preferred.
- Licensure/Certification : ARRT certification in Radiography - RT(R), required. Applicable state licensure as required, required. Post-graduates from an accredited Radiology Program with be required to pass their ARRT registry within 6 months of completing program, required.

- Applies principles of ALARA to minimize radiation exposure to patient, self, and others.
- Demonstrates current knowledge of federal and state radiation safety laws.
- Properly utilizes personnel monitoring devices.
- Ensures proper equipment performance and schedules maintenance for emergent needs.
- Properly operates radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment.
- Independently performs radiographic and non-interpretive fluoroscopic procedures, including intraoperative and mobile procedures, as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
- Assists a licensed practitioner in the performance of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, including all intraoperative and mobile procedures including the following: ERCPs, bronchoscopy, mini-c-arms, post reductions.
- Mobile imaging including lines and pacers and neonates.
