About the Role:
As a Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) on the Brain Health Unit at Levindale Hospital, youll provide compassionate, age-appropriate care to patients with Alzheimers, dementia, and complex brain health conditions. You will support daily living activities, help maintain a clean and safe environment, and contribute to a therapeutic setting that promotes dignity, respect, and trust.
This role offers a potential sign-on bonus of up to $1,000.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including hygiene, mobility, nutrition, and toileting.
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver holistic, patient-centered care.
Help engage patients in group activities and one-on-one therapeutic exercises that promote cognitive stimulation and emotional well-being.

Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Licensure: Current Maryland Geriatric Nursing Assistant (C-GNA) license.
Certification: CPR and First Aid certification required.
Experience: Preferred 23 years of experience in medical, dementia, or behavioral health settings.
Skills: Basic computer literacy, familiarity with electronic health records (e.g., Synquest), and experience using assistive equipment like Hoyer lifts and specialty beds.
