The Women's Imaging Nurse Navigator will interface with the breast health services team and assist with the coordination of all aspects of screening mammography; diagnostic imaging; clinical evaluation; support services and education for women receiving services at the Women's Health Center. Responsibilities Functions in the spirit of teamwork and is accountable for the coordination of patient care and supportive services utilizing the nursing process within the standards, policies, procedures and guidelines of the organization. Ensures an environment of patient safety, promotes evidence-based practice and quality initiatives and exhibits professionalism Provide education about Breast Self-Exam (BSE), Clinical Breast Exam (CBE), breast imaging modalities/processes, diagnostic testing and breast interventional procedures. Educate and navigate women who receive abnormal breast cancer screening results to assure timely access from screening to diagnostic evaluation to biopsy if needed. Requirements/Qualifications Associates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. Current license to work as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio. Certification as Certified Breast Patient Navigator I preferred. Minimum of 3 years recent and relevant women's health clinical experience.
