Job Summary:

To calculate and monitor radiation dose given to cancer patients. To use a treatment planning computer, simulator, CT scans, and other ancillary devices to develop a computerized treatment plan to be used for radiation treatment of cancer. To assist physicists in determining the overall treatment plan of the patient. Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:

Two years experience in Dosimetry is preferred.

Completion of a recognized training program in Dosimetry is preferred.

EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:

Masters Degree in Dosimetry from a recognized training program is required.
Incumbents hired through an acquisition may be grandfathered as long as they completed their Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) certification and have met our competency requirements.

LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:

Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) certification is required within the first year of employment.
