Shift: 7:30 PM - 8:00 AM
Experience:
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
12 months of Pediatric Intensive Care Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
3 months of experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
ADN completion required
Requirements:
Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license (required after submission).
This role will require floating to multiple units
COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
Flu vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted.
Pre-employment modules may be required for this role. Please upload any certifications or health documents you have to your profile to expedite your on-boarding process.
Additional Details:
Med/Surg PICU
Float Requirements: Float first to all inpatient units including critical care, NICU and Acute Care
On Call/Call-Back: No call
Weekend: Every other weekend (FRI/SAT/SUN) rotation
Holidays: if needed
Hard stop Must have recent experience with trachs and vents
Equipment used: oscillators, ICP monitoring, EVDs, and CRRT. May be potential to have code phone (training provided).
Unit Specific Skillset: 44 bed Surgical/trauma/medical pediatric critical care unit caring for a variety of ages from neonate through young adult. Patient populations include neurosurgical, general surgical, trauma, and medical/respiratory patients. Teaching hospital, may have students.
Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays where the unit is closed and orientation week.
Required Education: Associate Degree or Certificate
9 days maximum time off
1 reference from last 12 months (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - required for submission
1 reference from last 3 years (Charge/Lead reference type) - required for submission

BLS (Basic Life Support)
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
