Job Summary and Qualifications The Ultrasound Technologist performs ultrasound imaging ordered by doctors and helps with daily tasks to provide good patient care.

What you will do in this role:

  • Perform various ultrasound imaging procedures as ordered by doctors.

  • Manage daily tasks to ensure quality patient care in a diagnostic/therapeutic setting.

  • Be able to perform both stationary and portable exams.

  • Accurately follow doctor's orders, document exam completion in Meditech, scan documents, and verify images in PACS.

  • Follow correct procedures for quality controls and HLD related to equipment and accessories.

  • Document patient history, including lab values, properly.

What qualifications you will need:
  • Must be a graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
  • At least six months to one year of post-graduate experience is required.
  • ARDMS registered or obtained within 6 months of hire.
  • BLS current.
  • RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) must be obtained within 60 months of employment.
  • RDMS-AB (RDMS Abdomen Specialty) must be obtained within 1 year of employment.
  • RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer).
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support or CPR must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
