Travel Interventional Radiology Technologist - Cardiac Interventional Radiology

American Traveler is seeking an ARRT-licensed Vascular Interventional Radiology Technologist with Level I or II trauma experience and 1+ years of VIR experience.

Responsibilities
  • Assignment is in an interventional radiology unit in a Level I/II trauma hospital
  • Average caseload of 20 patients per day with 2:1 RT:RN staffing ratio
  • Supports minimally invasive, image-guided vascular procedures including scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating
  • Utilizes equipment such as fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound, Philips Epiq 7G, Parks Flo-Lab 2100SX, and PenVasc reporting software
  • Documentation uses Epic/CareConnect EMR; Epic experience preferred
  • 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with assigned call including weekend and weeknight rotations
  • Two endovascular suites and open procedure ORs
  • Acts as assistant to the Interventional Radiologist across scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating roles
  • Completes pre-employment lab work within 72 hours of signing
  • Pre-assignment modules required, averaging 12 hours, to be completed before start date
  • Surgical scrubs are provided
  • Every other holiday coverage required
  • Must float as needed per facility policy
  • Return staff must have at least 366 days since last employment to be rehired as traveler
  • More than one call-off may result in termination
  • No call, no show (NCNS) is grounds for immediate termination
Requirements
  • Valid ARRT certification or current equivalent required
  • Must hold an Ohio Department of Health radiologic license; pending licensure accepted (allow 24-48 hours to obtain, license required if applicable)
  • Current BLS certification required
  • ACLS certification preferred
  • Graduate of an accredited radiography program with a HS diploma or GED
  • Minimum 1 year of VIR experience and Level I or II trauma experience required; 2+ years preferred
  • Must be competent with radiology equipment including fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound
  • Permanent residence must be more than 100 miles from assignment location for eligibility
