About the Job

MedStar Health is looking for an Imaging Team Lead - Ultrasound to join our team at MedStar Franklin Square Hospital Center. This position is full-time, varied hours, 4 -9hr shifts.

This position will assist in the supervision and direction of the daily activities for the Imaging Department. Performs diagnostic procedures within assigned/credentialed modality.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies procedures quality standards and safety standards. Complies with governmental and accreditation regulations.
  • Acquires ordered images including evaluating these images for technical quality. Sends images to appropriate destinations for interpretation.
  • Coordinates the daily activities of staff consistent with workload requirements and available personnel.
  • Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of work areas. Reports any unsafe or potentially unsafe conditions. Maintains diagnostic and other equipment in efficient operating order; performs regularly scheduled quality control.

  • Obtains patient history answers patient questions and explains procedures.
  • Prepares documentation as required by the profession and the department. Completes necessary clerical and computer tasks as required.

  • Participates in multi-disciplinary quality and service improvement teams.

Minimal Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent required

Experience

  • 1-2 years technologist experience within assigned/credentialed modality.

Licenses and Certifications

  • ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) required

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills preferred.

This position has a hiring range of

USD $42.82 - USD $78.27 /Hr.
