Schedule:

• Every Friday to cover Kennebunk and Scarborough locations
• Other days are flexible for coverage of busy clinic days in Scarborough location

HOURS: 8:00am - 4:00pm

This position will be 8 to 20 hours weekly, depending on practice needs and availability

Pediatric Congenital Cardiac Sonography is strongly preferred

Summary:

Under the direction of a Cardiologist, the Cardiac Sonographer IV role performs ultrasound procedures for use in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of cardiovascular disease. Assumes responsibility for designated procedures and/or may be assigned duties as preceptor in areas of specific competence.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• Education: Graduate of an approved School of Sonography or equivalent combination of training and experience as a registered Cardiac Sonographer through American Registry of Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
• License/Certifications: Currently registered as a Cardiac Sonographer through the ARDMS or CCI required. Pediatric registration or Advanced Cardiac Sonography (ACS) registration preferred. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
• Experience: Four years of ultrasound/sonography experience in a medical practice or hospital setting required. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of a Cardiac Sonographer III role.
