Job SummaryResponsible for providing administrative leadership and direction for all departmental operations and activities. Manages business development, strategic planning, marketing, compliance, and financial performance for the department. Oversees daily practice operations, ensures prudent delegation of duties, and maintains accurate records. Coordinates human resources and faculty or staff affairs to support departmental goals. Represents the department in institutional meetings, external agencies, and collaborative initiatives.
Essential FunctionsProvides administrative and financial leadership for Diagnostic/Interventional Radiology, overseeing educational, research, and clinical activities across all subspecialty divisions.
Manages departmental finance, accounting, budgeting, and financial relationships with affiliated hospitals and external groups, ensuring compliance and financial sustainability.
Analyzes and recommends business strategies for new and existing clinical, research, and teaching programs, aligning with departmental and institutional strategic plans.
Oversees faculty practice management, including productivity, compensation, distribution of effort, and transparent reporting to faculty and leadership.
Leads departmental staffing strategy, manages administrative staff, oversees recruitment, retention, performance evaluation, and ensures compliance with HR policies.
Supports faculty affairs, including recruitment, appointment, promotion, tenure, annual reviews, and resource allocation for faculty and educational programs.
Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to advance departmental goals, manage contracts, support compliance, and foster professional development.
Oversees departmental facilities, space planning, capital equipment, safety training, and ensures maintenance and compliance with university policies.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education RequirementGraduate of a Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited radiography program or equivalent
Experience Requirement0-4 years of relevant supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of training and supervisory/team lead experience typically required
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
All experience must be paid and in the same related field.
Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week.
Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.
Certifications & LicensuresAmerican Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or other Imaging Discipline
