This role blends handson clinical expertise with operational leadership, overseeing staff performance, regulatory compliance, budgeting, and quality standards. Ideal for a collaborative leader, this position supports staff development, ensures efficient and compliant imaging services, and engages with both hospital leadership and the broader community to advance highquality radiology care. Manages the department and staff to meet the needs of the hospital, patients, and physicians. Assures compliance with all mammography accreditations. Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Develops an operating budget which meets the needs of the PHS organization and operates within the guidelines of the budget. Staffs the department on a volume basis to ensure productivity. Hires, counsels and terminates employees according to PHS guidelines. Participates in employee development. Performs diagnostic radiology, CT, Bone Density, Ultrasound exams on a daily basis as needed in the department. Attends department head meetings and holds staff meetings monthly. Serves as a team player and supports the PHS Mission of Purpose, Vision, Values and Strategies. Works with the community to develop a county-wide health care system. Educates the community on what the department and hospital have to offer. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Associate's degree in Radiology required Minimum of three years of experience across various radiology areas Three to five years of radiology supervision experience preferred New Mexico State License in Radiologic Technology (NMRRT) required We're all about well-being, starting with yours.
