About the Role
As an Echocardiographer Novant Health, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality cardiac imaging services. Your expertise will contribute to accure diagnoses and exceptional pient care. In this role, you will:
- Perform a variety of echocardiographic procedures, including transthoracic and stress echocardiograms.
- Analyze and interpret hemodynamic da to assist in clinical decision-making.
- Collabore closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive pient care.
- Maintain and opere echocardiography equipment, ensuring optimal functionality.
- Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards in all procedures.
Qualificions
Educion & Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associe Degree in a reled field preferred.
- Gradue of a formal Cardiovascular Program accredited by the Commission on Accredition of Allied Health Educion Programs preferred.
- Two years of echocardiography experience preferred.
Certificions:
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS or RCS) Required .
- New gradues must obtain registry within six months of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certificion required.

- Educion: High School or GED, required. 2 Year / Associe Degree, required. Certificion Program in lieu of Associe Degree accepted, preferred. Gradue from a formal Cardiovascular Program th is accredited by the Commission on Accredition of Allied Health Educion Programs, preferred.
- Experience: Two years of echocardiography experience, preferred.
- Licensure/Certificion: Registered Cardiac Sonographer, credentials RDCS or RCS (New Gradue will have 6 months to pass registry) , required.
- Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validion and competency testing. Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to pient(s) age. Has the ability to interpret informion to identify each pient(s) requirements for care relive to his/her age specific needs. Considerable verbal ability to effectively communice observions and input to nursing staff, physicians, and other department staff.
