Job overview:
The Pediatric Echocardiographer performs diagnostic cardiac ultrasound studies for infants, children, adolescents, and adults with congenital heart disease in an outpatient pediatric cardiology practice,
This role is responsible for acquiring high-quality echocardiographic images, assisting with fetal echocardiography, performing EKGs, and supporting physicians in the evaluation of complex congenital and acquired heart conditions across the lifespan,.

Required:
Graduate of an accredited diagnostic cardiac sonography program
ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCS) certification in echocardiography required
Minimum 2 years of echocardiography experience

Preferred:

Experience in pediatric Echocardiography
Experience with fetal echocardiography
Experience scanning adult congenital heart disease patients
Familiarity with outpatient pediatric specialty workflows

Days

Essential Functions:
Perform comprehensive transthoracic echocardiograms on neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, and adult congenital heart patients
Assist physicians with fetal echocardiography studies and documentation
Acquire accurate Doppler, M-mode, and 2D imaging according to pediatric cardiology protocols
Recognize abnormal findings and adjust imaging to ensure diagnostic quality.
Perform and document electrocardiograms (EKGs/ECGs) on pediatric and adult patients.
Apply Holter and event monitors as needed.
Assist providers during cardiac evaluations and clinical procedures when necessary.
Ensure all studies are properly labeled, measured, and uploaded into the EMR system.
Provide preliminary technical impressions when appropriate.
Maintain compliance with practice protocols, accreditation standards, and infection control guidelines.
Work closely with pediatric cardiologists, congenital heart specialists, nurses, and administrative staff
Support workflow efficiency and timely completion of diagnostic studies
Ability to work independently while collaborating in a specialty team environment
