Job Description
Perform mammograms, biopsies, and bone density exams as applicable.
Conduct high-quality mammography examinations in accordance with the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and American College of Radiology (ACR) standards.
Assist with quality control activities as needed.
Be a member of the direct patient care team.
Qualifications:
Experience working as a Mammography Technologist at a hospital or medical center is highly preferred.
Required certifications: ARRT-R - Radiologic Technologist - Radiographer (ARRT), ARRT-M - Radiologic Technologist - Mammography (ARRT), CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist - State Licensure - Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation through the Texas Medical Board.
Demonstrate skills and competencies necessary to safely perform the assigned job, determined through ongoing skills, competency assessments, and performance evaluations.
Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the English language necessary to perform the essential functions of this job.
Ability to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, family members, and co-workers with a customer service focus.
Possess basic computer knowledge; operate Hospital/Radiology Information Systems and Office software to maintain patient and exam documents.
Exhibit strong interpersonal and team player skills with all levels of the healthcare team and assure delivery of excellent customer service.
Adapt to multiple ongoing priorities with minimal supervision, including organizing workflow and actively participating in problem-solving.
