Interventional Radiology (RN) Lithonia, Georgia

A skilled Registered Nurse is needed for Interventional Radiology (IR) in a fast-paced outpatient radiology environment. This is a contract opportunity offering the chance to utilize your advanced clinical skills with a team dedicated to delivering excellent patient care.

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday to Friday
• 7:30 AM 4:00 PM
• 13-week assignment

Qualifications:

• Active RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience in Interventional Radiology
• Valid AHA BLS and ACLS certifications (must be current)
• Demonstrated expertise in special procedures within IR, including administration of medications to regulate heart rate and nitroglycerin as needed
• Experience performing CT Coronary exams highly preferred
• Strong ability to work independently and efficiently in an outpatient setting
• Detail-oriented with excellent assessment and communication skills
• Candidates must be willing to commute from more than 50 miles away (no local candidates)

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with radiology and cardiology teams during special procedures
• Provide nursing care during CT Coronary exams, including administering medications like nitroglycerin and agents for heart rate regulation
• Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes or complications
• Ensure comprehensive patient assessments and accurate documentation throughout radiological procedures
• Educate patients and families about procedures, care, and post-procedure instructions
• Adhere to established protocols and maintain a safe, supportive outpatient environment
