Our Client, a Healthcare company, is looking for a CT Technologist for their Bozeman, MT location.
Responsibilities:
The Acute Care Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist provides health care services by assisting in diagnosis or treatment.
Performs CT procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner.
Operates a CT scanner to obtain images used in the diagnosis and treatment of patient pathologies.
Uses knowledge of imaging techniques and cross-sectional anatomy to create high quality images for interpretation by radiologists and other medical professionals.
Modifies technical settings and adjusts scanning parameters to enhance images and minimize unnecessary exposure.
Performs routine quality inspections and quality control maintenance on scanner as recommended by the manufacturer and/or organizational policies and procedures.
Performs CT exams and procedures for NICU, CCU, ED and other hospital departments as requested by the medical staff.
Assists the Radiologist and other medical staff during exams and procedures.
Performs ancillary duties as required to maintain proper distribution, billing, and archival of exams and procedures.
Completes documentation, in designated area, of all information required for proper interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams.
Retrieves written orders and related health information to ensure the timely performance and reporting of exams and procedures.
Participates in the implementation, monitoring and improvement of the quality indicators as described in the strategic plan.
Works independently in a highly complex, acute care inpatient setting.
Train and support peers.
Job tasks may involve exposure to:
Bloodborne pathogens, such as blood, bodily fluids, or tissues.
Radiation in settings where medical imaging procedures are performed
Various chemicals and medications used in healthcare settings. Job tasks may involve handling cleaning products, disinfectants, and other substances.
Infectious diseases due to contact with patients in areas that may have contagious illnesses
Emotionally challenging situations, such as dealing with distressed patients or difficult family interactions.
Requirements:
Graduate of Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited Radiology program or equivalent
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) R.T.(R) & advanced registry in CT, R.T.(CT)
American Heart Association BLS required
Two (2) years of radiology experience as a registered technologist
1 year of previous CT experience in a trauma center (level I or II)
Demonstrates sound judgment, patience, and maintains a professional demeanor at all times
Exercises tact, discretion, sensitivity, and maintains confidentiality
Performs essential job functions successfully in a busy and stressful environment
Learns current and new computer applications and office equipment utilized at client
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Analyzes, organizes, and prioritizes work while meeting multiple deadlines
Works varied shifts and participates in call rotation as scheduled and/or needed
Minimum Years of Experience: 2
Cert: BLS/BCLS, ARRT
Effective Communication: Proficient in effective communication, both in person and through various technologies.
Handling Challenging Situations: The role may involve dealing with upset individuals, requiring the ability to de-escalate situations and work effectively with frustrated patients or families.
Repetitive Tasks: Ability to perform repetitive tasks as needed to fulfill job responsibilities.
