Join our team as an Ultrasound Technologist (Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) in Durango, CO at a hospital setting where you will operate ultrasound equipment to produce diagnostic images used by physicians to evaluate and treat patients. The role emphasizes strong general and OBGYN scanning skills with opportunities to perform vascular studies, procedures, drains, and biopsies. Expect a fast-paced radiology environment with multiple scanners and collaboration with radiologists who are on-site except when on call.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • ARDMS certification in General or OBGYN, or equivalent credentials (RDMS required; RVT preferred; RDCS a bonus).
  • BLS certification (AHA).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer.
  • Experience performing general, OBGYN, vascular studies and procedures (biopsies, drains) required.
  • Experience with EPIC electronic medical record and Fuji PACS preferred.
  • Experience working with Phillips ultrasound equipment preferred.
  • Ability to provide a radiology badge; agency must supply traveler rad badge.
  • Willingness to complete department-specific orientation and required onboarding within state during orientation week.
  • Ability to travel within a 60-mile radius if required and maintain a valid drivers license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Vascular sonography credential (RVT) preferred.
  • RDCS credential considered a plus.
  • Previous hospital radiology department experience.

Assignment Details

  • Shift hours: variable schedule of four 10-hour shifts 7:00 AM5:30 PM or 7:30 AM6:00 PM.
  • Call requirements: 12 nights per week and every third weekend.
  • Weekend and holiday coverage required as needed.
  • Orientation: department-specific orientation provided. Orientation hours: 12.
  • Charting system: EPIC; PACS: Fuji.
  • Department has four scanners/rooms.
