Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available Opportunity: Radiation Therapist - Radiation Therapist Job Details: Work 40 hours per week with flexible scheduling options: 5x8 hour shifts Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (occasionally 9:00 AM-6:00 PM) or 4x10 hour shifts with staggered times Patient ratio of 1:5 13-week contract only Float between two clinical sites in Wilmington, NC coastal region (30-minute drive between locations) No call, float, or weekend requirements Required certifications: ARRT T, BLS Minimum 2 years of experience required First-time travelers accepted Must be comfortable with adult acute care and radiation therapy procedures Work with Varian linacs, CT simulation, and various radiation therapy equipment Required skills include IMRT, external beam therapy, ARIA system, beam modifying/positioning, and radiation safety Will not be expected to cut blocks, perform CT simulations alone, or perform dose calculations Always paired with at least one other therapist MD and RN on-site throughout the day Must wear royal blue scrubs (not provided) No orientation needed - start directly in clinic Up to 7 days RTO auto-approved May be required to work Storm Team/Hurricane Team during catastrophic events Must complete non-billable modules (expect 2-10 hours) Facility: This comprehensive radiation oncology facility provides advanced cancer treatment services with state-of-the-art equipment including multiple Varian linear accelerators and CT simulation capabilities.
