Seeking an experienced professional to support cardiac catheterization procedures within a dynamic Cath Lab environment. This position emphasizes both technical acumen and collaborative patient care, offering the opportunity to contribute to a dedicated interdisciplinary team for a full-time contract role.
Schedule:
- 4 days per week
- 10-hour shifts
Key Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Radiology Technology school, associates degree in healthcare, or an equivalent is required; bachelors degree preferred.
- Must have recent Electrophysiology (EP) experience.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and, if working with pediatric patients, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications (AHA only).
- State licensure: Texas MRT or LMRT by TMB, as applicable for modality.
- Prefer at least one of the following: RCIS, RCES, RCS by CCI; ARRT certification in Radiography (R), Cardiac Interventional (CI), Cardiovascular Interventional (CV), or Vascular Interventional (VI); RDMS or RDCS by ARDMS.
- Prior acute care experience (0-1 year) is a plus.
Role Responsibilities:
- Prepare and operate cath lab equipment, ensuring all devices are functioning and supplies are properly stocked.
- Support procedures by ensuring room setup, patient positioning, and data documentation.
- Enter accurate patient data into relevant systems, including hemodynamic and ECG recordings.
- Adhere to strict aseptic and safety protocols; act as the radiation safety representative and maintain compliance with governing policies.
- Collaborate closely with cardiovascular teams and physicians, anticipating procedural needs and optimizing workflow.
- Participate in patient transport and contribute to a cohesive team environment.
- Engage in ongoing knowledge-sharing to maintain proficiency in the latest cath lab techniques and technologies.
