Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Echo Technician Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 06/01/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Title: Echo Technologist / Echo Tech Specialty: Echocardiography Department: Electrocardiogram (ECG/EKG) Shift: Day Shift, 10 hours | 4x10s | 6:30 AM-5:00 PM Call: 1 week of call per month, including 1 weekend (Saturday 7:00 AM-11:00 AM and Sunday 7:00 AM-11:00 AM) Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 2 years of cardiac ultrasound experience. Active RDCS through ARDMS or RCS certification. Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association. Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, Doppler physics, and hemodynamics. Ability to identify stenosis or occlusion using nationally published criteria. Proficiency with computers, clinical software, and web-based applications. Strong communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills. Ability to work independently, stay calm under pressure, and maintain confidentiality. Preferred Qualifications Vascular experience preferred. Job summary Provides individualized, direct patient care by performing a variety of diagnostic cardiac sonography procedures, including echocardiograms, ECG/EKG testing, and stress testing. Compiles patient history and diagnostic data, presents preliminary sonographic findings, and works closely with physicians and the care team to support high-quality, patient-centered care. Essential duties Perform echocardiographic procedures, including 2D, M-Mode, Doppler, and Color Flow imaging. Perform Exercise Stress Echo and Dobutamine Stress Echo procedures. Conduct ECG/EKG testing and associated stress tests. Obtain and document patient history, diagnostic information, and preliminary findings. Prepare patients for procedures and explain testing in a clear, professional manner. Assist physicians with interventional procedures requiring ultrasound guidance. Prepare and maintain exam rooms, supplies, and equipment. Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation. Adapt care and communication to meet the patient's age, cultural, social, and spiritual needs. Maintain clinical competency, required education, and active credentials.
