Become a vital part of a hospital team in Oak Lawn, IL as an experienced Computed Tomography Technologist. You will accurately interpret physician scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, and expertly operate CT equipment in a level 1 trauma, teaching hospital environment. The position involves care of inpatient, outpatient, and ED patients and requires comfort working in a fast-paced setting with stroke and trauma cases.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
  • Completion of a JRCERT-accredited radiologic technology program or equivalent education.
  • BLS certification.
  • Minimum 3 years of CT technologist experience, including trauma and stroke imaging.
  • Experience with GE CT equipment.
  • IV skills and power injection experience required.
  • Experience working with EPIC electronic medical record system preferred.
  • Comfort working in a high-volume, teaching hospital environment with resident-staffed radiology.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a level 1 trauma center or comprehensive stroke center.
  • Experience with Alaris and Pyxis medication/infusion and supply systems.
  • Prior travel assignment experience preferred but not required.

Assignment Details

  • Shift: Evenings with alternating weekends (every other weekend rotation).
  • Orientation: 1 day on the unit.
  • Charting and systems: EPIC documented; Alaris and Pyxis used on unit.
  • Weekend staffing: typically 1 tech and a tech aide on Friday, 2 techs and a tech aide on Saturday and Sunday.
  • Public transit access: minutes from the CTA Brown Line.
