Wh Were Looking For:
- ARRT (R) certificion in Radiography required (new grads within 6 months of hire)
- Prior acute care experience preferred
- Strong communicion skills and tention to detail
- Educion:
- Gradue of ARRT-approved Radiography Program. Certificion required within 6 months of hire post-graduion from an accredited Radiology Program, required.
- 2 Year / Associe Degree, preferred
- Experience:
- Minimum of one year experience in diagnostic radiology, preferred.
- Licensure/Certificion:
- ARRT certificion in Radiography - RT(R), required.
- Applicable ste licensure as required
- Post-gradues from an accredited Radiology Program with be required to pass their ARRT registry within 6 months of completing program, required.
- Additional Skills (required):
- Applies principles of ALARA to minimize radiion exposure to pient, self, and others.
- Demonstres current knowledge of federal and ste radiion safety laws.
- Properly utilizes personnel monitoring devices.
- Ensures proper equipment performance and schedules maintenance for emergent needs.
- Properly operes radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment.
- Independently performs radiographic and non-interpretive fluoroscopic procedures, including intraoperive and mobile procedures, as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
- Assists a licensed practitioner in the performance of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, including all intraoperive and mobile procedures including the following: ERCPs, bronchoscopy, mini-c-arms, post reductions.
- Mobile imaging including lines and pacers and neones.
The Radiologic Technologist II works independently and/or assists physicians/APCs in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the pient and opering the x-ray equipment in order to obtain diagnostic images in the acute setting. The technologist is responsible for inpient & outpient procedures, the emergency room, fluoroscopy, portables, and the opering rooms.
