Lumexa Imaging partner American Health Imaging is seeking registered CT Technologists for PRN roles in Columbia, SC at three of our outpatient imaging centers. These PRN positions offer schedule flexibility to provide coverage Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Schedule : Weekdays 8AM-5PM ( PRN) schedule flexibility for coverage
The CT Technologist p erforms a variety of standard, and specialty Computed Tomography ( CT ) procedures to produce imaging studies using radiology technology to assist physicians with formulating a medical diagnosis while complying with safety and regulatory requirements. Specifically, conducts radiology exams and documents clinically appropriate results for interpretive physicians and records.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates the company’s values in daily activities
- Perform s complex tasks associated with the operation of CT scanners and related equipment to produce cross-section images of patients’ internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of medical issues
- Position s patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment to comply with government regulations and to ensure the safety of patients and staff
- Screen s patients for CT safety prior to procedure performance
- Start s I.V.’s, administers contrast media as directed and per protocol
- Evaluate s CT scans for technical quality, collate processed images and sequence of exposure and label s appropriately
- Load s and operate s power injectors for contrast media administration
- Applies the profession's code of ethics in all aspects of practice
- Maintains knowledge of, observes , and enforces the safety measures in the Environment of Care
- Maintain s accurate patient records .
- Assists in other modalities as requested and as allowed by licensure/certification
Required Knowledge, Skills , and Abilities:
- Knowledge of and adherence to company policies and protocols
- Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA and safety guidelines
- Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy
- Knowledge of current technical skills and procedural understanding to perform a full range of scanning procedures
- Knowledge of and adherence to ALARA principles
- Knowledge of basic level computer skills
- Skill in organizing and prioritizing work and following assignments through to completion
- Skill in written and verbal communication
- Ability to operate and adjust scanning and ancillary equipment
- Ability to take initiative to improve processes, think strategically , and identify trends
- Ability to provide open, honest feedback to improve decision-making
- Ability to maintain and build constructive relationships that produce results
- Ability to work independently, as a team , and in a fast-paced environment and meet established deadlines

Education and Experience:
- Graduate of 24-month AMA-approved School of Radiology Technology
- 12 months previous experience in diagnostic radiology or other imaging modality
- ARRT certification in Computed Tomography
- Applicable State Licensure, where required
- IV credentialed if applicable
- BLS certification preferred
Physical Demands of the Position
- Lifting/moving patients, positioning the patients
- Assisting patients on and off table and into a wheelchair, when required
- Sitting 50% of shift, standing 10% of shift and walking 40% of shift
