Schedule:

• Contract-based assignment with standard imaging department hours (details to be provided during interview).

Essential Qualifications:

• BLS Provider certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) obtained within 30 days of hire or job transfer.
• Radiologic Technologist credential from the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) obtained prior to hire or transfer.
• At least one of the following certifications:
  • Nuclear Medical Tech credential from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
  • NMTCB(CT) Computed Tomography Specialty Certification or ARRT(CT) Computed Tomography
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT)
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy specialty certifications
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in CT from the ARRT
• Demonstrated skill in computerized tomography technology and procedures.

Core Responsibilities:

• Perform accurate and high-quality CT scans per protocol for the diagnosis of disease and injury.
• Correctly prepare and position patients, selecting optimal technical parameters for each study.
• Administer contrast media and approved medications within scope of practice and federal/state regulations.
• Maintain vigilant observation of patients during imaging, promptly reporting any abnormal activity.
• Recommend updates or refinements to imaging protocols as needed.
• Safeguard patient and staff safety by rigorously applying radiation safety procedures.
