Become a vital part of a hospital team in Birmingham, AL as an experienced Computed Tomography Technologist. You will accurately interpret physician scanning instructions, administer contrast materials per protocol, and operate CT imaging equipment to produce diagnostic-quality studies. This role requires adherence to safety standards and collaboration with radiologists and clinical staff to support patient care.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 years CT technologist experience.
- Completion of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredited program in Radiology.
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in CT or Radiography with CT registry eligibility.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience administering IV contrast and managing contrast-related safety procedures.
- Experience working in an acute care hospital environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with multi-slice CT scanners and advanced imaging protocols.
- Previous experience on a 7-on/7-off schedule preferred.
Assignment Details
- 7 on / 7 off schedule.
- Shift hours: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM.
- Workdays: Wednesday through Tuesday (covers all days within the 7-on block).
- No on-call requirements. Some holidays required.
