Job Summary and QualificionsMinimum Educion, Experience, Training, Required Knowledge, Skill, Abilities and Other Job-Reled Characteristics:
1. Educion: Gradue of a Nuclear Medicine training program
2. Experience: 2 years experience as nuclear medicine technologist in a hospital setting
3. Employee completes initial and ongoing training and competencies as defined by service line, facility and department/unit which are specific to the needs of the pient populion served (if applicable).
Minimum License, Certifices, or Registrions Required:
1. One of the following:
i. ARRT (R) or ii. ARRT (N) or iii. ARRT (T) or iv. NMTCB
2. Medical Radiologic Technologist Certificion from Texas Department of Health
Wh you will do in this Role:
1. Supervises assigned personnel within and responsible for the effective planning and operion of the section(s). Evalues performance of employees and takes approprie personnel action when necessary. Motives employees to achieve peak productivity and performance by providing clear direction and expections.
2. Leads both formal and informal meetings, which maximize the groups success. Fosters an mosphere th encourages the open expression of ideas and opinions; asks key questions and offers informion to move the process along; links the comments of others and builds on their ideas; and observes and comments on group dynamics. Crees an effective work team and sustains the teams performance during chaotic and stressful work phases.
3. Maintains inventory and equipment service records. Works with vendors to ensure optimum uptime of equipment in his/her section(s). Schedules preventive maintenance and emergency maintenance without disrupting pient care.
4. Views work situions from a broad context and understand the complementary interdependent nure of work process. Assesses the impact and implicions of decisions on other components of the organizion and determines the effects of ones individual work within this broad context. Communices with other managers and directors any decisions, which may impact other sections of the organizion.
5. Ghers and analyzes necessary da to identify relevant issues and accurely defines the problem, then formules and evalues alternives prior to acting on a solution. Makes good decisions based on logical assumptions th reflect available factual informion.
6. Uses resources effectively and efficiently to maintain a productivity standard as set forth by the Department Director in cooperion with administrion.

1. May have access to radiopharmaceuticals, contrast agents and other non-controlled medicions as approprie to diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

4. Must learn and comply with System and facility safety policies and rules; must use approprie safety equipment and procedures all times; must immediely report all unsafe conditions to supervisors; must be familiar with all safety feures of equipment, tools or merials encompassed by job duties; and must check with supervisors (prior to job performance) if there is a question as to the safe procedure to be used for any job function.
5. Adheres to the MHS Code of Conduct and demonstres ethical behavior as expected by our pients, colleagues and the community. Understands the personal obligion to report any activity th appears to viole applicable laws, rules, regulions or the Code of Conduct itself.
