Research Nuclear Medicine Technologist

GENERAL DUTIES

Provides clinical services according to radiology practice standards to ensure optimal department functions:

• Collection, processing, maintenance and shipping of radioactive and non-radioactive research biological specimens

• Maintains inventory of research hot lab equipment and shared supplies

• Ensures compliance with DEQ Nuclear Standards, including hot lab standards

• In coordination with the Theranostics coordinator, completes research phantoms and other testing for PET/CT system as relates to research clinical trials

• Works in conjunction with the Theranostics coordinator and Clinical Research Coordinators to support research PET/CT studies

• Theranostics support staff for research patients

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

• ARRT (N) or NMTCB

• LSRTBE Nuclear

• BLS

• ARRT (R) or (CT) preferred

• LSRTBE Radiology or LSRTBE Fusion preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Competence in venipuncture and nuclear medicine therapies.

• Established interpersonal skills combined with the ability to be highly motivated and work independently.

• Well organized and able to maintain accurate and complete research and clinical records.

• Attention to detail

• Ability to be a team player

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
