Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plastic Surgeon with subspecialty training in microsurgery and a strong focus on breast reconstruction to join our dynamic, multidisciplinary team in New York State. The ideal candidate will bring a depth of expertise in both reconstructive and aesthetic breast surgery, with particular emphasis on microsurgical techniques, including DIEP flap and perforator flap procedures.

This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative clinical and academic environment, with access to state-of-the-art facilities and a diverse patient population. Candidates with an interest in clinical research, education, and multidisciplinary care are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform advanced breast reconstruction procedures, including autologous and implant-based techniques, with specialization in microsurgery.

  • Collaborate closely with breast surgical oncology, medical oncology, and radiation oncology teams to deliver comprehensive care.

  • Contribute to the education and training of medical students, residents, and fellows.

  • Participate in research activities and quality improvement initiatives related to reconstructive surgery.

  • Maintain a commitment to high-quality patient care and safety

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

M.D. degree (foreign equivalent or higher) from an accredited medical institution. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Plastic Surgery. Completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Microsurgery.

Preferred Qualifications:

Clinical experience with complex breast reconstruction, including microsurgical flap procedures. Strong interest in academic medicine, teaching, and/or research.
