Director of Radiology Jobs in Michigan

Plan, organize, and oversee radiology department operations. Directors of radiology—also called directors of diagnostic imaging— supervise radiologic procedures to ensure that the department complies with facility policies, general precedents and standards, and state/federal laws and regulations. In addition to filling this managerial role, they also establish guidelines, maintain budgets, and track productivity for their divisions.

Radiology directors stay up to date regarding trends and advances in their field. They use this knowledge when deciding whether to invest in new technology or train staff in a new technique. They also coordinate with medical personnel outside the radiology department to ensure patient satisfaction and prompt, accurate diagnoses. They may work in a variety of environments, including hospitals, healthcare centers, and private practices.
