A Radiology Nurse, also known as a Radiologic Nurse, is a highly specialized nursing professional who plays a critical role in the radiology field. They are responsible for prepping patients for radiologic procedures (like X-rays, MRI scans, or radiation therapy), monitoring patient's vital signs during procedures, administering medications and contrast agents, ensuring the patient's understanding of procedures, and providing aftercare. They also work closely with Radiologists, assist during invasive radiology procedures, and ensure a safe environment by adhering to radiology safety protocols.

Prior to becoming a Radiology Nurse, a person may have roles such as a Staff Nurse in a hospital or another healthcare facility, a Clinical Nurse, or a Medical-Surgical Nurse.
