Vascular Technologist Jobs

Produce images of the circulatory system. Vascular technologists use ultrasound and/or X-ray equipment to create images of blood vessels and the heart. They discuss the procedure with patients and operate the equipment carefully to meet safety standards and take clear, accurate pictures. They process, code, analyze, and offer initial interpretations of results as directed.

As medical tests may involve sensitive or personal information, vascular technologists must be empathetic and emotionally stable in order to keep patients as calm as possible. They should also demonstrate attention to detail and administrative competence, as they are expected to document all examinations.
