Position Summary
The Sonographer II independently performs diagnostic vascular ultrasound exams, assisting physicians and advanced practice providers by preparing pients, opering ultrasound equipment, and producing high-quality images to support accure diagnosis and trement.
Required: Gradue of an ARRT-approved or CAAHEP-recognized Sonography Program
Preferred: Associe Degree or higher
Required: Minimum 1 year of vascular sonography experience
Active registrion in one of the following:
ARRT Vascular Sonography (RT(S)(VS))
ARDMS RVT / RDMS (VT)
CCI Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS)
Current BLS certificion (per Life Support Training Policy)
Perform independent vascular ultrasound exams following established protocols
Obtain spectral Doppler waveforms and high-quality diagnostic images
Prepare and educe pients for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety
Accurely document exams and transfer images using EMR, RIS, and PACS
Collabore with physicians and care teams to support timely diagnosis
Adhere to Novant Healths First Do No Harm safety behaviors and quality standards
Strong knowledge of vascular anomy, physiology, and phology
Ability to work independently in diagnostic settings
Proficient with ultrasound equipment and basic computer systems
Excellent communicion and pient care skills
Adaptable to pients of all ages and clinical conditions
