Novant Health Lakeside Family Physicians Jetton is seeking a Rad Tech. The Radiologic Technologist I works independently and/or assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the pient and opering the x-ray equipment in order to obtain diagnostic images in the ambulory setting.

  • Performs direct pient care. Collects da to determine correct procedure /protocol to be followed. Performs screening processes for medicion reconciliion and allergy confirmion. Reviews orders for clarity and verifies as needed. Performs and assists the physicians in performing radiology procedures.
  • Maintains professional competencies and complies with needed educion requirements as dicted by their credentialing body. Maintains clinical competencies based on departmental policies, protocols, and procedures. Works with radiologist to develop and maintain standard protocols for routine procedures.
  • Moves pient from a wheelchair or a stretcher to the imaging table and positions the pient for best imaging results. Moving the pient may require using aides such as lift equipment or a smoothie board. In some cases, a minimum of two people is required to insure safety of the pient as well as the employees. Depending on the case load, this may occur 10 to 20 times a day.

Wh We're Looking For:
    • Educion
      • Gradue of ARRT-approved Radiography Program. Certificion required within 6 months of hire post-graduion from an accredited Radiology Program
      • 2 Year / Associe Degree, preferred.
    • Experience: Minimum of one year experience in diagnostic radiology, preferred.
    • Licensure/Certificion: ARRT, required.
    • Additional Skills (required): Thorough knowledge of radiographic equipment and accessories. Analytical ability and basic computer skills. Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to pient(s) age. Has the ability to interpret informion to identify each pients requirements for care relive to his/her age specific needs. Good communicion skills, capable of functioning alone in diagnostic rooms, working knowledge of various types of x-ray equipment, able to adapt to various situions and procedures.
Wh You'll Do:
  • Knowledgeable with electronic informion systems and PACs systems. Interprets and records pient informion as necessary. Utilizes Novant telephone etiquette and customer service skills.
  • Safety: Follows established radiion safety guidelines. Follow established policies and procedures to prevent spread of infectious disease. Follows First Do No Harm culture.
  • Teamwork and Professionalism: Adheres to Service Excellence Standards in promoting a cooperive work environment by utilizing communicions skills, interpersonal relionships, and team building.
